Eastern Front Fighters vol.2 - Yak-1b - Bf-110 - Bf-109
Our thirteenth decal set is entitled "Eastern Front Fighters vol.2" and contains markings for three different fighter aircraft operating in the East during World War II:
- Yakovlev Yak-1b, coded 'Red 22' of 562nd IAP / 318th IAD PVO, Moscow area, USSR, 1943.
- Messerschmitt Bf-110E-2 trop, WNr. 4018, coded S9+GP, flown by Oblt. Gunther Tonne, Kapitan of 6./SKG 210, Orel, USSR, December 1941.
- Messerschmitt Bf-109F-4 trop, WNr. 10098 (probable), flown by Obstlt. Gunther Lutzow, Kommodore of JG 3, southern sector of the Eastern front, USSR, May 1942.
Illustrations were created by Janusz Swiatlon and Anders Hjortsberg. None of these marking options have previously been reproduced in decal form. Period photos of two depicted aircraft are included in the instructions.
